    Delete Billboard for NYSATThe streets of New York City are inundated with ever growing advertising, filling each and every empty wall. Hundreds of these billboards are not registered with the city, therefore they are illegal. Although illegal, this violation is not being prosecuted by the City of New York, allowing the billboard companies to garner huge profits by cluttering our outdoor space with intrusive and ugly ads.

    On April 25th, 2009, Jordan Seiler and PublicAdCampaign.com organized a massive takeover of these billboards called NYSAT (New York Street Advertising Takeover): 126 billboards throughout the city were white washed by dozens of volunteers. Then, over 80 artists transformed the advertising space into their personal pieces of art. Here's what I made.
